2010 Poster Contest Winners |
|
A total of 57 elementary, middle, and high school students from around Clay County entered the 2010 Concert on the Green poster contest. Judges rated the art on the basis of originality, creativity, artistic elements, and if the concept was valid for use as a poster for the upcoming concert event. The contest encourages school art students to create art representative of musical performance in an outdoor setting. Interestingly, many of the students used a cello as their featured instrument in their posters this year. The Concert on the Green Committee is very thankful to Ms. Debbie Derbonne at the VIllage Art Gallery in Orange Park for her dedication to coordinating this concert event.
The winning posters and those winning an honorable mention status will be framed and will be up for auction at the Art for a Song fundraising event on March 26th. Please RSVP to the event, so you can potentially purchase one of these outstanding posters for your home!!!
