Since the age of two, Zachary has been involved in art. He is a Junior at Clay High School and was told about the contest by his Clay High School art instructor, Mr. Buchanan.

As a bass guitarist and singer in the Steel Breaks Wave, a local Jacksonville band, Zachary is striving to make the band successful. After college he would like to become a published author and eventually direct and produce a movie.

The message Zachary wishes to convey through his poster is "the way that music and art moves the soul."

When asked why art is important to society he says, "it creates a bridge from culture to culture and brings people together to appreciate one thing."
